 東石郡役所

東石郡役所屬第二層級的地方官署，整體建築氣勢雄偉，格局方正，為一座設計良好的郡級行政官廳。因官制是採「郡警合一制」，故內部設有維持治安的「警察課」與辦理地方行政的「庶務課」，空間規劃上除具備行政辦公事務和集會外，還設有留置場、訊問室等。
相傳其建築磚瓦非常考究，與總統府同等規格，構工亦極精巧堅固，故歷經多次大地震仍完好如初。民國 11 年前後擔任郡守的日本人森永信光，大力獎掖風雅，倡設樸雅吟社，朴子文風鼎盛在東京享有盛名。
Eastern County Hall
Eastern County Hall has an elegant
official-type architecture, which was reserved from the Japanese ruled time, and was built
by exquisite materials with a stable structure. It was completely saved through
many earthquake attacks and remains its beauty. As for style, the office is a mixture of
European and Japanese style with symmetrical wings and was built with bricks.
There are Affairs Room, a fan-shaped detention house and an assembly room inside
this building. Serving as the district
administration center, the County Hall is normally located at the places people gathered together. It has double
functions: executive function and the administrative function of public
security. But nowadays, it is Puzih Branch office of Chiayi City Police
Department.
東石郡役所
日本統治時代に残されたエレガントな官舎式建物が保存され、建材研究した上、しっかりした構造となっています。幾度の地震の洗礼を経歴、依然保存は完璧であり、当時の風華は損なわれていませんでした。和洋折衷、両翼対称、煉瓦建造物、事務所、扇型拘留所と大ホールが含まれています。郡役所は地方行政中心にもなりまして、多くは人口が集まる場所に設置、日本統治時代では行政と治安管理の二重機能をもたらした。今は嘉義市警察局朴子分局です。
